Arrival : Incident report

Narrative

The craft, dubbed 'Peaceseeker', spiraled out of control after colliding with a satellite in Earth's orbit. The craft sustained critical damage to its exterior body and fuselage, compromising its ability to function. Venusian was the sole inhabitant and fatality of the ruined craft.Smaller fragments of the craft disintergrated on entry to Earth's atmosphere, while larger pieces; namely, of the fuselage; remained largely intactThe crash site was rapidly cordoned off by relevant authorities in order to preserve it for future assessment and study by Earth scientists and accident investigators. However, by the time this could come to pass, the alien's remains had disappeared from the wreckage.

Probable cause

The immediate cause of the accident was a collision between the craft and a large sattelite in Earth's orbit.Damage sustained in the collision most critically prevented the crafts external body; which acts as a single rotary blade; from creating lift and thrust.Secondarily, the fuselage was breached by the impact, damaging the crew cabin and operational controls.The collision pushed the distressed craft off course toward Earth, where it subsequently crashed.

-Analysis and conclusionDNA acquired from the scene identifies something completely foreign to mankind, and in conflict with scientifically established tenets of nature as it is presently understood.Incidences include what was dubbed 'Schrodinger cells', cells exhibiting indications of cell death yet maintaining animation and innate function, albeit at a reduced capacity.It is thus covertly speculated that the alien left the crash site of its own volition; despite previously being confirmed dead; though none are too willing to openly voice this theory for fear of risking their occupational standing.Anomaly reconnaissance teams are now at the mercy of this individual, whose extra-terrestrial outfit of technology and genetics suggests that it is an innately intelligent and 'death-defying' lifeform. Our resident biologists have classified this species as 'Diomedes Dirus' ^{(Fearsome man-eating horse)}. From their preliminary investigations, Venus' biology is documented in a separate report.
